‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ trailer debate: Bella’s engagement ring
Right now, there are a great many conversations and debates being waged about the newest The Twilight Saga: Eclipse trailer, but one that seems to hold particular significance for a lot of fans is the question of whether Bella’s engagement ring fits the literary bill. The ring was shown in passing in the first trailer for Eclipse, but it received undeniable and prominent placement in the latest.
Coming off of the reveal, there seems to be a split in the fandom as to whether the ring matches popular perception of Stephenie Meyer’s description.
Only trouble is there may not be a common perception at all.
A number of vendors have come out with their own versions of the Bella engagement ring, and the results are quite varied. While there are a couple (here and here, for instance) that look a lot like what we see here in the picture, there are others still that look very different (like this one or this one).
Thus, there doesn’t seem to be any achievable market consensus about the way the ring looks.

ok so it debatable sure, but it does and doesn’t match……. i can support both which sounds confusing but don’t take it from me if you have any idea how to contact stephenie meyer then ask her….. my reason for not supporting…. it doesn;t look old fashioned which is a biggie!!!!! and my reason for supporting it is because it has tons of diamonds which is how alice described it soooooo it is merely debateble
Its not at all what I thought it would be, I personally dont like it, its too big and with too many stones in it. If only Stephanie had made out that Edward had bought her a lovely modern ring from Tiffany’a because he is meant to be loaded and they are living in the modern ages, not in the days when he was changed. He drives modern cars not old classics so why inflict this old fashioned ring on a modern girl.
