Thanks to ‘Twilight’, Bella’ tops pet names for 2009
Twilight seems to be a big hit with everyone, according to The Independent of the ten top dog names of 09 “Bella” was number one (of nearly half a million in the semi-census). And it took third place for cats. Of course it would make sense for the name of the protagonist in one of the most popular book series and film franchise to day, but taking number one? That’s pretty cool.
However, this isn’t the first time “Bella” has made an appearance in the naming news. In December, it was announced that “Isabella” took the number one spot in girl baby names for the year.
There is no surprise that many find the name popular, it is a lovely name after all. Would you name your daughter or dog/cat Bella or Isabella?

It’s no longer new that spoofs are bound to happen after a mega hit series. There are an endless number of spoofs and parodies from the Twilight Saga.
