No Max Steel for Taylor
According to an article at The Vulture Taylor Lautner will no longer be playing in the Max Steel movie. He will still be doing the Stretch Armstrong movie though.
Seems Hasbro made a better deal than Mattel.
You can get more details on the whole situation here.
Here is an excerpt:
Forget Team Edward versus Team Jacob, Taylor Lautner found himself in the midst of a bigger rivalry in toy-obsessed Hollywood: Team Mattel versus Team Hasbro. And Vulture has learned that Hasbro just won this round; Lautner had originally been signed on to do both Paramount’s Max Steel (based on the doll by Mattel, the world’s biggest toy company) and Universal’s Stretch Armstrong (a classic character for Hasbro, the world’s second biggest toymaker), with Steel up first. But insiders tell us that Lautner has just dropped the Mattel movie.

Taylor Lautner To ‘Stretch’ Into Latest Role
Taylor Lautner has been cast in the title role of “Stretch Armstrong,” Universal Pictures confirmed to Access Hollywood.
“The Twilight Saga” star will take on the role of the rubbery hero based on the Hasbro toy. The 3-D film will be released in 2012.
“In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office. He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power,” Universal Pictures co-chairman Donna Langley said in a statement to Access. “We couldn’t be more pleased that he has agreed to be our Stretch.”
The film’s 2012 release is geared toward allowing him time to work on his previously announced projects – the title role in “Max Steel” as well as the films “Northern Lights” and “Cancun,” a film centered on his martial-arts skills. A final film – or potentially two films – based on “Breaking Dawn,” the fourth book in “The Twilight Saga,” has yet to be made official.
In related news, another Hasbro property-turned-Universal film, director Peter Berg’s “Battleship,” has moved its release date to May 25, 2012 – Memorial Day weekend.

Rob Pattinson & Kristen Stewart make Vanity Fairs Top 40
It seems like 2009 was a big year for many of the stars of Twilight, but financially Rob and Kristen even had a better one. Vanity Fair just came out with their annual Hollywood’s Top 40 Moneymakers list.
Respectively, Rob ranked in at #35. Here is what his estimated numbers look like:
35 Robert Pattinson
(WME)
Estimated 2009 earnings: $18 million
$7.5 million: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (fee for starring in upcoming third installment of vampire franchise)
$5 million: The Twilight Saga: New Moon (fee for starring in second installment)
$4 million: Remember Me (fee for actually starring in a non-Twilight film)
$1.5 million: New Moon (back end, based on worldwide gross of $661 million)
Kristin wasnt too far behind at #37:
37 Kristen Stewart
(Gersh)
Estimated 2009 earnings: $16 million
$7.5 million: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (fee for starring)
$5 million: The Twilight Saga: New Moon (fee for starring)
$2 million: The Runaways (for starring in upcoming Joan Jett biopic)
$1.5 million: New Moon (back end)
But don’t worry Team Jacob because Dailyfinance expects Taylor Lautner to appear on the 2011 list. With Eclipse on the horizon and his other action movie deals, Taylor will make the 2011 list. Expect Rob and Kristen to make it there also with there slew of other projects.
For all their hard work and dedication for Twilight, its only fair that they deserve some financial compensation. Good for them. Lets hope that the other Twilight co-stars will be just as lucky as those three.
Do you think the other Twilight Cast Members have a good chance of making the list next year?

Taylor Lautner is the Fittest Male Celeb in 2009

A recent article on FitSugar did a poll asking who they thought was the most fit celebrity of 2009 and Taylor Launter ended with 45% of the votes. But then it’s not so surprising since he put on 30 pounds of muscle for on part.
“Actor Taylor Lautner left the competition in the dust this year, getting 45 percent of your votes for the fittest male celeb in 2009 poll. Though some of you expressed dissent that there was a 17-year-old in the celeb pool, the Twilight actor earned more than double the votes as Ryan Reynolds his closest competition.
The release of New Moon made it a big year for Team Jacob, and Lautner packed 30 pounds to reprise his role as Jacob, the werewolf. In a matter of months Lautner went from scrawny to seriously buff, showing off a new eight-pack in the pages of Rolling Stones. Lautner’s motivation to be fit doesn’t stem entirely from a movie role, either; he’s also an accomplished martial arts artist. From ages 6 to 13, Lautner studied karate and was ranked number one in the worldfor NASKA’s Black Belt Open Forms, Musical Weapons, Traditional Weapons and Traditional Forms. Growing up, Lautner played team sports, and says that if it wasn’t for acting he would have focused on a serious career in football.”
