New Moon’ DVD shortages already being reported

The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been for sale on DVD and Blu-Ray for little more than a day, but already some availability shortages are being reported.

According to one Los Angeles-based source, “Out of 3 department stores and 2 smaller video stores, only 2 stores had 10 copies or more. The rest were out and expecting more Monday or Tuesday. Other stores, after calling around are rationing their Twilight DVD’s selling only so many per day so that customers who come in have a chance to purchase it as well.”

Weitz, who has made the decision not to direct Breaking Dawn, talked to Entertainment Weekly before the appearance about the DVD, and he reflected on a recent development in the Eclipse world (the addition of a new editor). “In many cases, movies like this have two editors because of the sheer amount of footage,” he explained.

The varying versions of the New Moon DVD made available around the several venues might have some small differences (i.e., whether deleted and extended scenes are included), but they all have a few things in common.

The Twilight Saga: ‘New Moon’ DVD comes out at midnight

Not that you’d need to be reminded of it (or that you aren’t already reminded by the onslaught of media attention to this fact), but The Twilight Saga: New Moon comes to DVD tonight at midnight!

There are tons of tidbits of information floating about to prepare you for the occasion, so, to help guide you in the right direction, here’s all you need to know about The Twilight Saga: New Moon’s DVD release.

Kristen Stewart makes Glamour Magazine’s list of 50 Most Glamorous Women of 2010!

Glamour Magazine’s third-annual list is in. The always effortlessly gorgeous Kristen Stewart made the list:

She breaks typical starlet style rules—Converse on the red carpet!—“and looks as cool in a biker jacket as she does in a cocktail dress,” says designer Jason Wu.

I fully think she deserves it, don’t you?

First deleted scene from ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ released by Target

Right now, there’s a bit of competition being waged – be it healthy or not – between the various The Twilight Saga: New Moon DVD vendors, and Target (who has the 3-disc special edition of the DVD) has released a new deleted scene from New Moon to sample what their DVD will have to offer.

In the scene, the source of Bella (Kristen Stewart)’s motorcycles is revealed. While in the book, Bella happens upon a kid putting the bikes out to the road, in this scene it is Charlie (Billy Burke)’s neighbor who is trashing them . . . with Charlie’s vehement approval of his decision.

You will probably recall that in the film, this moment was left out and that Bella simply shows up to La Push with the bikes in the tailgate of her truck.

The scene closes with the beginning of a scene that was included in the film (so, in this sense, it’s an extended scene rather than deleted altogether), where Charlie has had it with Bella’s depression and says that he thinks she should go home to Jacksonville to be with her mother.

New Moon’ midnight DVD release parties to be held by f.y.e.

For those still in the process of determining which The Twilight Saga: New Moon DVD they’ll be purchasing, f.y.e. has just thrown in its bid for your patronage.
